pwd

Description

pwd prints the path name of the working (current) directory.

Files

/usr/lib/locale/locale/LC_MESSAGES/uxcore.abi: language-specific message file (see LANG on environ(5)).

Diagnostics

The diagnostics

   UX:pwd:ERROR: cannot open ...
   UX:pwd:ERROR: read error in ...

indicate possible file system trouble and should be referred to a UNIX system administrator.

Notices

If you move the current directory or one above it, pwd may not give the correct response. Use the cd command with a full path name to correct this situation.

This command has been updated to handle files greater than 2GB.
